New Tear Garden Album

Tear Garden - Secret ExperimentOne of my absolute favorite bands, The Tear Garden, has a new album out. Maybe. I downloaded a copy off the web, but you can’t buy it from their record label yet (http://www.subconsciousrecords.com/beyond/). I’ve seen things on the interwebs saying that it should have been released in April. I’ve seen a few links that say “Click here to buy it” and you click there and nothing is to be bought. So who knows if it’s really been released?

Really, I intend to buy this one. I buy everything put out by The Tear Garden. Their album “To be an Angel Blind, The Crippled Soul Divide” is totally on my list of 10 albums I’d take with me should I somehow end up marooned on an island. One of my Fantasy Football teams is called “Tear Garden”.

I looked in the corners of the internet and found a copy of the album. The new album is much more experimental and electronic than the previous few albums and that’s fine. I’m not as immediately taken by it as I was by their last two or three albums but it’s still better than most anything else out there. Of course, I’ve only heard it twice so it hasn’t had a chance to grow on me yet.

So go out there and look. Maybe you’ll be able to buy it some day soon.

    Hi,

I am just listening to it but i am an old fan of everything cevin key did and concerning The Tear Garden i totally agree with you “A cripple soul…” is god damm beautyfull.
But this new one gives me headrush with its new industrial electronik touch.
I am so glad they put it in it.
Edward ka Spell is as good as ever and the tratments on his voice (counting zeroes) is incredible.
The beginning of 21st century is a subtle mix of download and plateau and again the voice of Spell is perfectly mixed with it.
The bass in this track gives something new to The Tear Garden sound.
    Wow !! Astonishing whats compositions
The all Lp is perfectly balanced in the compositon.

I didn’t listen to the last track allready, iam listening to it now and it’s so cinematografik.
And this rupture at 5 min to enter in a more musical world is so sweet.
Oh yeah this guy speaks to souls and drive them so incredibly.
I am at 8min30 and the story continues.A new phase of the story tells by Ka Spell,a kind of radio or tv behind and this amazing treatment on his voice.
This guy is a dark poetry born to tell stories.
He posesses the timing of speaking, and the intention.
God damn these treatments on his voice.

This album is the most experimental The Tear Garden as ever made and it’s allready my favorite.

  1. You’re right – it is the most experimental album they have made.

Things I wish for: World Peace, Everyone getting 6″ taller so they can all be my height, and a Tear Garden tour.

I still am not sure if you can actually get a copy of this album without scouring the Internet.

I bought the album, about a half year ago.

    You can buy it here:
    http://www.terminalkaleidoscope.com/TG.html

It’s not an easy record, but if you give it enough time, you’ll see
    that it’s actually very good.

  2. I just ordered it from here:
    http://www.subconsciousstudios.com/htms/buythings.htm#

We’ll see if it is now finally easily available as opposed to perenially being “available soon”.

  1. […] Tear Garden – The Secret Experiments: I still don’t think you can buy this album. It was to have been released last summer. Who knows what is up with this, but it is by far the most experimental album the Tear Garden have ever put out and that is saying something. It’s really good. It needs to be released. I need to send someone money for this album. […]
